Christmas Surface Patterns

Here are two of my christmas surface patterns I am working on, The first one shown is inspired by the more traditional take on christmas and the second design is a more contemporary stylish print. Both of which are my own  hand drawn illustrations, repeated and with added colour.

'Merry Christmas' Christmas Card Designs...

I absolutely love christmas! And with thinking about how close it is getting, I decided to start designing a few christmas card's of my own. Below show a few of my first design's, which have been created as a set of 4.

 The design is a hand drawn piece of mine using just a fine liner pen and then with some colour later added to each, followed by the glitter to give it that sparkly christmas look. They will soon be available to buy in my Etsy store too. Hope you like what you see.

Mother Hen Card Design

This card has been designed for a mum/mother of many, seen to their children as 'The Mother Hen', as they appreciate and look up to all what they do, therefore wanting to show their appreciation. I have used an abstract hen which I drew by hand then finished in photoshop, with a current on trend colour pallet and typography to give it a modern day appeal.

I haven't really had the chance to do much designing recently yet I am going to start on some new designs shortly. In the mean time, here are a few photos I took on a recent visit to the seaside, somewhere where I grew up and that I love to go to relax and to get a lot of my inspiration for up and coming new creations. Love Birds - 2 Bird Shaped Cushions

This pair of Baby Pink Bird Design cushion covers, are the perfect accessory for any home or even work place!

The repeat pattern shown on the front of the cushions is repeated in the shape of the cushion itself, with a brown reverse.

Like all of my designs, this design has been hand drawn; with repeating the pattern and adding some colour, it has created a great surface pattern design.

‘Wave’ Framed Fabric Picture

I was inspired to draw this wave design with living near the sea, and took my inspiration from something I love!

The frame is also hand made and painted to create a great finished fabric picture!

The frame measures 34 cm x 88 cm

Pair Of Black/White Handmade Floral Design Cushion Covers

This is my latest project; With working full time, I don't have much spare time to make my designs into products but the time I do have, I make what I can and love it :)

Beige Bird Coin Purse

Following on from the Orange Coin Purse, here is the second one I created using the 'Beige' Birds. Also I have created my own labels which I have incorporated into the final design.

Orange 'Bird' Coin Purse

Using the bird design I created, I wanted to make something that would do it justice. I got the sewing machine out and hand made a Coin Purse with a lining to make it a better quality!

I think it looks fab, and it turned out far better then expected!

'Lined Leaf' Fabric Coasters

This design is another hand drawn illustration which I repeated to create this Olive Lined Leaf design.

I printed the design onto fabric and hand made a set of coasters!

Here are all the colours I wanted to use for the Bird Design, Took a while to print and get right but worth it :)

Various Colours for Bird Design

I love the recent design I created using the theme of a bird and therefore I wanted to create it in various colours. Below show some options, which I love!

Here is another design that I love, that I have recently been working on too. Again, from my love of illustration and of nature, I created this repeat pattern using another hand drawn illustration of my own, 'Leaf'. I Love not only the design, but the colours used in it too!

I have taught myself to use the sewing machine and therefore managed to start creating my own cushions, using my own amazing designs :)

Bird Fabric Pattern

This is a new design I have been working on. I hand drew the bird and then repeated the image in photoshop to create this pattern, which would be suited for either stationery, wallpaper or fabrics such as bedspreads and cushions etc.
